Cellusys at Ghent, GSMA FASG #6, 20-22 Sep 2016
Cellusys will be at the GSMA Fraud and Security Group (FASG #6) meeting in Ghent, September 20th-22nd.
The GSMA FASG will outline why mobile operators should implement a set of industry baseline security requirements and how a security compliance programme would work.
- SS7 Security will be discussed including an account of a Network outage due to the receipt of unexpected SS7 messages and discussions around the lessons learned as well as proposals on third-party initiated security testing.
- GSMA recommendations on how should SS7 penetration testing be done in a safe way and an overview of recommendations developed within FASG.
- Signalling firewall deployment models and the impact on the bottom line by implementing Signalling Firewalls.
- In addition A2P SMS Protection on the Fraud and security risks of A2P SMS with an overview of SMS application level protection and how it works and their charging considerations.
