LTE CONNECTIONS FORECAST TO GROW 45% IN 2015 THANKS TO CHEAPER DEVICES
With increased LTE handset availability and affordability, LTE services are expected to penetrate more emerging markets in 2015, including the Middle East & Africa, where Ovum forecasts LTE connections will grow from just 7.6 million in 2014 to 16.1 million in 2015. As shown in the figure, global LTE connections are expected to reach 560.8 million in 2015, up 45.3% year on year.
