Access the webinar to learn more about A2P as a business-critical communication solution, the A2P trends during the Covid-19 pandemic, and network solutions that can be used in response to increased smishing.
Cellusys teamed up with Telia Carrier to present this topical webinar on A2P trends and security implications during the Covid-19 pandemic.
A2P (Application-to-Person), messaging is an essential communication and security tool, enabling strategies such as PIN code (OTP) delivery, notifications, critical alerts and two-factor authentication (2FA). It has become operationally vital for both consumers and enterprises.
During the Covid-19 pandemic the use of A2P declined in some industries, increased greatly in others, and it played a crucial role in government communications around Covid-19. However, the pandemic also saw a large rise in SMS phishing – or smishing. Through smishing, scammers attempt to access sensitive information and carry out fraudulent activities and attacks. The often perceived credibility factor of smishing messages can result in consumers being cheated out of substantial amounts of money. At its very best, smishing creates a bad customer experience. Network solutions do exist, however.
Watch the webinar to find out more about A2P trends during the past year, what caused the rise in smishing and what it means for end-users, and what some of the network solutions are. Presenters are Fabio Bottan, Senior Messaging Specialist at Telia Carrier, Cellusys’ CTO Daniel McTague and Jon Neighbour, Channel Director.
