Border Steering Control

Seamlessly, inbound and outbound roamers should have access to their network services, be able to make and receive calls and SMS.
Cellusys has selectively designed a set of roaming tools to guarantee this seamless roaming and assurance of revenues for both visited and home network.

Steering of Roaming / Roam Steering
As there are many criteria controlling mobile operators to select their roaming partners according to, mobile operators need to dynamically control their outbound roamers network selection.
Roam steering is an SS7 based steering tool, fully compliant with the GSMA IR.73 and enables operators to control the distribution of their outbound roamers roaming on specific networks in a specific country according to their roaming agreements, alliances, discounts on tariffs and the QoS in the visited country.

Roam Welcome
Roam welcome is being used by VPMN to salute and educate their inbound roamers throughout a set of messages being sent to the inbound roamer upon registering on the network.
Roam welcome through an automatic or manual mechanism enables the operator to send a welcome message, bon voyage, win back, welcome home and other predefined messages. The content of theses messages is flexible and can be assigned per different criteria.
An embedded campaign module can also help in adding more value to frequent inbound roamers and encourage them to make calls and use more network services.

Prepaid SMS Roaming
Prepaid SMS Roaming provides the operator with valuable opportunities to generate new and additional roaming revenues under the existing roaming protocols and agreements.
For Non-Camel III networks, the inability to do Real-Time charging on MO-SMS generated by outbound prepaid roamers will certainly affect the service offering. Cellusys Prepaid SMS Roaming provides mobile operators with the ability to charge the roaming subscribers from their credit accounts every time they send an SMS.

Local Prepaid Roaming
With Cellusys Local Prepaid Number, Inbound roamers dont have to worry about making and receiving calls during their stay in the visited country, especially when they are low ARPU or prepaid subscribers.
With local prepaid number system installed, inbound roamers will have the ability to get a virtual local MSISDN whom they can seamlessly make and receive calls on, this will be offered with the Roam Welcome messages and the activation method will be explained and easy. Inbound roamers can be also able to top-up this number using the available local scratch cards available in the market.

Anti-Steering of Roaming Detection & Prevention
Due to the massive challenges in growing up roaming revenues nowadays, VPMNs have to find ways to capture more roamers and maintain them.
Anti-Steering of Roamers enables the VPMN to detect and dynamically capture inbound roamers even if their HPMNs use Roam Steering to other networks and steer them away to the network.
Anti-Steering of roamers works independently from the handset and has a dynamic SS7 mechanism to overcome any steering attempt coming from the HPMN

Roam Intelligence
Operators usually fall behind a huge number of practices to provide statistical reports and snapshots for their network versus their inbound roaming experience.
With Roaming Network Analyser, operators can generate historical and real-time information for what is going on their network.
Information about the number of inbound roamers, weak cells coverage causing loss of roamers, geographical distribution of roamers, competitors capturing roamers and much more reports can be generated through the Roaming Network Analyzer that analyzes the traffic and updates.
